First Impression
We don’t get to see a ton of mods for beginner/intermediate vapers, and so whenever our team at E-Cig Brands does find one, we love to advertise it to all of you. Beginner and intermediate vapers are usually stuck with simple cig-a-likes if they’re unable to navigate all of the advanced controls that come with sub-ohm mods. That also means though that they are left with a smaller battery capacity and lower wattage settings. The Kanger Subox Mini-C only requires a single 18650 battery, and its menu really couldn’t be any simpler. If you have tried a disposable e-cig or simply taken a few puffs off of a friend’s device but are nervous to invest in your own mod, then have no fear. The Kanger Subox Mini-C is easy to set up, easy to use, and certainly easy to enjoy.
Kanger Subox Mini-C Vape Starter Kit
The Kanger Subox Mini-C Starter Kit comes with the mod itself, the Kanger Subtank Mini-C Tank, a Kanger SSOCC Atomizer Head with a resistance of 0.5Ω, and a micro-USB cable. It will also include a Kanger authentification certificate and an easy-to-follow user manual. If you have no idea what a coil is, then this user manual will walk you through everything you need to know from what the pieces are called to replacing used parts. The Kanger Subox Mini-C kit, however, does not come with any spare 18650 batteries, replacement coils, or spare O-rings.
If you are a new vaper, chances are good you don’t have a ton of spare 18650 batteries, so you’ll probably have to purchase one of those separately. You probably won’t need any replacement coils for a couple of weeks, but it wouldn’t hurt to get extra if you feel as if you’ll go through them quickly and want to plan ahead. Lastly, the Kanger Subox Mini-C is held together with O-rings, so there are no screw-in components. This helps to streamline assembly, but at the same time, if an O-ring snaps, which is not all that unlikely, your vape mod will fall apart. So, it may be useful to purchase some extra O-rings just in case of emergency.

Kanger Subox Mini-C Design & Features
The Kanger Subox Mini-C is a simple mini-mod that’s the thin enough to fit in the hand easily. It comes in white, black, and stainless steel and has an OLED screen on one side. The tank, which we will discuss shortly, sits neatly on top of the mod. The battery door snaps onto the mod magnetically, and the Kanger logo is cut into the battery door, which is up against the green battery. Otherwise, the Kanger Subox Mini-C is really very simple. It has no extra features or complicated settings it doesn’t need to have.
Performance
The Kanger Subox Mini-C is not a high-end mod, but it does have decent vapor and flavor production. Despite its limitations, we at E-Cig Brands were very satisfied vaping on it, and we were vaping on it all week long.

The Tank
The tank is 2 ⅛ inches by ⅞ inches with a 22mm diameter and 510 threading. It can hold 3.0ml of e-liquid, which should be enough to get you through the day as long as your resistance is not too low. To remove your tank, flip the mod upside down and pull it out. From there, you can pop off the atomizer and replace that too. As we said before, the mod is assembled using O-rings, so while it is leak-resistant, you might have a mess on your hands if one of the O-rings snaps. Otherwise, there are airflow vents, but they are not adjustable. The tank is compatible with any SSOCC coils, and from the VaporFi website, you can purchase Clapton 0.5Ω and Nickel 0.2Ω, 0.15Ω, and 1.2Ω coils.
Kanger Subox Mini-C Display & Menu
The display on the Kanger Subox Mini-C really couldn’t get any simpler. There is a fire button and an up and down button. That’s it–really. There is no way to change the menu settings, and there aren’t even any complicated menu settings to change. They took off the temperature control settings and the TCR settings from the Kanger Subox Mini-C so that it would be more suitable for beginner vapers. From there, you have the resistance of your coil and your voltage displayed on the front with your wattage. You can simply alter your wattage until you hit a spot for you and vape away.
Kanger Subox Mini-C Vape Kit’s Price
The Kanger Subox Mini-C sells for about $30, and you can add an extra 5-pack of coils for about $15 on discount sites like VaporFi. Even though you will have to pay a little bit extra for coils and a battery, $30 is extremely inexpensive for a mod that can vape up to 50W especially since you can get free shipping from VaporFi. This is the perfect way for a beginner to try out a higher-power mod without investing a fortune right from the get-go.
Overall
We adore the Kanger Subox Mini. It is simple and easy to use, but it still provides a solid vape, a great throat hit, and loads of vapor. If you are looking to scale up from an e-cig, then this could be a great mod for you. If you are just itching for something bigger and more powerful, then this one will be a perfect transition into the mod world.
