Volcano Inferno Tube MOD Review

First Impression

If you venture down with Virgil and Beatrice across the Styx and down through nine layers of hell, you’ll find a nifty little vape pen you don’t even have to sin to enjoy. We’re talking about Volcano’s Inferno vape pen. We’re always looking for powerful devices for novice vapers that provide decent throat hits with as few controls as possible. Volcano’s Inferno is not too difficult to put together, but it provides a satisfying vape. Here’s what our reviewers at E-Cig Brands to say about it.

Volcano Inferno Starter Kit

Your Volcano Inferno starter kit will come with a 650 mAh eGo style battery, a 900mAh battery, an Inferno-style Tube Tank with a 1.8Ω atomizer, a removeable drip tip, and a mini-USB cable. The battery turns on and off with five successive clicks, and the end cap screws off to reveal the hidden USB charging port. All of this comes also with a convenient carrying case and elegant gift box.

Inferno Design & Features

This pen has a tube tank with a removeable drip tip, but unfortunately, it has a bottom-fill design. Today’s vaping world has started to shift over to top-fill designs, so Volcano really doesn’t have any excuses for failing to incorporate the current standards. Bottom-fill designs have fallen out of fashion because they’re awkward and messy. We really would have preferred the top-fill design on this one. If you want to be able to refill quickly and efficiently, you may want to check out VaporFi’s enormously popular VaporFi Pro 3 Vape Starter Kit instead, which is not only top-filling, but also has a longer battery life. Performance

Volcano’s Inferno certainly isn’t a DNA-200 chipset mod. It is a decent vape pen for beginners. If you want something that’s going to produce some great clouds, you’ll want something like the Titan Hybrid from ePuffer. The Titan offers the power of a sub-ohm mod but the convenience of a vape pen. Plus, you can choose to use it as either a mouth-to-lungs or direct-to-lungs device by switching up the coils and drip tip. As far as battery capacity goes, the 650mAh lasted us almost the entire work day while the 900mAh battery lasted us through the whole day completely. If you are a chain vaper or a former smoker though, it probably won’t be enough for you. In that case, you’ll be refilling the tank fairly frequently, so be prepared to bring along your e-liquid. With pass-through technology, you can vape the Inferno while your batteries are charging, but if you’re given two batteries to start out with, then you can charge both overnight and keep the spare for when the first one runs out.

Thankfully, there are some vape pens that won’t run out in the middle of the day. If you don’t want to worry about charging constantly and lugging batteries along with you, then consider purchasing the Eleaf iJust S sold by South Beach Smoke. For only about $35, you get a pen that is only 24.5mm in diameter but comes with a whopping 3000mAh internal battery. This baby will keep you vaping for days on end without recharging. The Tank

The tank is a slim little device with a whimsical top cap that resembles a dunce cap. While it seems as though the tank is incredibly small, the tank extends underneath the top cap. The Inferno can hold a maximum of 2.5mL. Just make sure that you don’t overfill it or it will leak.

Inferno Display & Menu

There is no display here because there is no variable settings. All you have to do is keep your thumb on the fire button and puff away.

Volcano Inferno Kit’s Price

The Volcano Inferno is really very cheap. If you spend more than twenty dollars on this device, chances are good that someone is ripping you off because it’s not worth any more than that. If you’re on a budget, then this could be the pen for you. You won’t be breaking the bank, and you’ll walk away with something that will satisfy your cravings.

Do remember though that you get what you pay for. The Volcano Inferno is not a high quality device. If you want a high-quality device without paying an exorbitant amount, you might want to try out the Eleaf iCare. It is available from Apollo for less than $20. You don’t even have to press a fire button. It’s beyond simple, and the vapor production is superb.

Overall

We’ve never been to hell, but we have gotten a little taste of Volcano’s vape pen. Volcano has been around since 2010 when vaping just started to become popular. This pen is good for anyone who’s new and really wants a sleek device. However, overall we’re not sure we would give it two thumbs up. The competition in the vaping marketplace has gotten increasingly steep, and we’re just not sure the Volcano Inferno measures up to some of the vape pens available elsewhere. It still provides a decent vape, but perhaps not the epic masterpiece we were expecting from such a title.
