We loved the Reuleaux RX200, and we loved the RX200S, and now, we have the Wismec Reuleaux RX2/3 by Jay Bo Designs. This masterpiece may just be the crown jewel in the Reuleux trifecta, because it gives you options, options, and more options. While the RX200 gave you two batteries, the RX2/3 can take two or three batteries. You heard us correctly. You can vape with three batteries, and then you can take out a battery and continue vaping. If you’re at home and you want something simple, then vape the RX2/3 as a dual 18650. Then when you’re going out and need some battery life, just snap on the second door and pop in the third battery. Wismec Reuleaux RX2/3 Starter Kit

The Reuleaux RX2/3 starter kit comes with the mod, the extra battery door, a USB charging cable, and the user manual. It does not, however, come with any 18650 batteries, which must be purchased separately. You will also need to use your own tank, which must be powerful enough to handle this baby.

Wismec Reuleaux Design & Features

The Reuleaux RX2/3 is slightly taller than the RX200 because of the removeable battery case, which snaps on and off via a button located on the bottom of the device. The door does tend to dislodge rather easily. If you knock the door it can come a bit loose. When I was vaping it, my batteries never came out, but there is a chance that they could tumble out by accident, so take caution not to nudge it by accident. Otherwise, the mod is shaped into a trapezoid and fits comfortably in the palm of the hand. It is a little bit heavy, but it’s much, much lighter than the previous Reuleaux editions. Lastly, the mod comes in a number of beautiful color choices including gold, cyan, and red. We particularly like the cyan, which is a nice, light feminine color. Vaping mods don’t tend to cater to a feminine audience, and so the cyan was refreshingly welcome.

Performance

The Reuleaux produces thick clouds, and it’s no doubt because of the dual/triple battery construction. We found that the third battery wasn’t absolutely necessary because the mod functioned very well on just two batteries, but it does put this mod over the edge for those extreme vapers out there.

We should mention that it is important for this device to watch how you charge your batteries. Usually, we advise vapers to charge and discharge their batteries at the same rates, but that becomes especially tricky if you’re only using the third battery occasionally. We recommend users to alternate the three batteries. If you keep them on a cycle, then they’ll wear down at the same rates. Do not just pull batteries from other mods as you’ll end up getting them confused. It’s best to purchase three new batteries and keep them on a cycle so you’re using them as evenly as possible. It is of the utmost importance to practice battery safety when vaping.

The Tank

This mod does not come with a tank in the starter kit because it is for a more advanced audience. It’s probably better that it doesn’t come with a mod as that keeps the price down. When choosing a tank or RDA to pop onto this mod, just make sure that you choose one that can handle this kind of power and voltage output.

Wismec Reuleaux RX Display & Menu

The Reuleaux RX2/3 uses the same display as its predecessor besides the fact that the buttons are in a bar shape rather than individual and round. You’ll still turn it on with five hits to the fire key, and you can access the settings menu by clicking the fire button three more times. The Reuleaux has all of your standard features including temperature control and TCR for stainless steel, nickel, and titanium.

Wismec Reuleaux RX2/3 Kit’s Price

You can purchase this mod for between $40 and $50. The Reuleaux RX2/3 is definitely competitively priced for what it is. The majority of discounted high-wattage mods run for between $40 and $60, so you’ll definitely be paying a fair price for this mod.

Overall

We had very few complaints about the Wismec Reuleaux RX2/3. Besides the fact that the battery door is a little bit loose and that it’s on the larger side, we adore this mod. This mod is for someone who is going to want to use the mod both with two or three batteries. If you only vape with two batteries, then you’re probably not going to appreciate this mod for what it’s worth. In that case, you’re better off with the previous Reuleaux editions. However, if you value flexibility, then this is definitely the mod for you. We’ve never seen this kind of innovation, but we definitely like it! Get your RX2/3 today!
