How Do I Find the Best Vape Pen for E-Liquid in the EU?
There is no one best vape pen for e-liquid in the EU. However, there are few criteria you should consider when you start your search. Here are some of the qualities I look for any time I’m reviewing a vape pen.
- What is the battery capacity? I’m a busy professional, and I don’t have time to constantly be charging my vape pen. It’s meant to be portable for a reason. If it’s going to die on me in the middle of the afternoon, and I’m going to be stuck without my vaporizer for several hours, I’m not going to be a very happy camper.Five years ago, I would have told you that the average battery life is between
600mAh-800mAh, and that is, to a certain degree, still true today. That being said, vape pens
never used to be sub-ohm devices either. If you have a 2-3ml tank with a coil of 2.0Ω, you’re
not really going to drain your battery very quickly.Thankfully, that’s not the case today. Today, you can find vape pens with a capacity of 1,000mAh and even up to 2,000mAh. Even though resistance levels are lower, you shouldn’t have to worry about making it through the day on one charge even after several months. Typically batteries will become weaker over time. But if you start with 1,000mAh+, the battery should still be going strong long after you’ve opened the package.
- Is the tank powerful enough? A vape pen is usually a smaller device, and it more closely resembles an e-cigarette than it does a mod. That being said, I want to make sure that my vape pens come with tanks and not just cartomizers. A cartomizer, in my humble opinion, belongs on an e-cigarette.Without a strong enough tank, you’re not going to be able to use high VG e-liquid.
Vegetable glycerin is considerably more viscous than propylene glycol, and so a high VG
blend is going to be thicker than a 50/50 one.Imagine, for instance, sucking a milkshake through a straw. It’s far more difficult than drinking Pepsi through a straw, right? The same principle applies to tanks. Unless your tank is powerful enough, you’re going to end up with some dry hits when vaping on VG e-juice. You’d never want to put high VG e-liquid into an e-cigarette for this very reason. The juice wells simply aren’t large enough, and there isn’t enough airflow to give you the kind of draw you’re looking for.
I personally love high VG e-liquid. When I vape, I want to blow enormous clouds. I love how they billow up around me, and I love making my friends envious. Over the years, I even learned how to do tricks when puffing. So, I want a vape pen that’s at least powerful enough to handle these more viscous liquids. Perhaps beginners may not care about cloudchasing as much as I do, but usually after a few months of puffing on a tiny little e-stick, vapers are ready for something more powerful.
- All-In-One Device: If I wanted a vape mod with a thousand different settings to change, then I would buy a mod. As it turns out, I don’t want that. There are plenty of vapers who want to be able to control every single aspect of their vape experience. I’m not a techie though. The most technologically advanced thing I know how to do is change a battery. That’s it. So, I get a vape pen with the intention of avoiding all of that. I want a vape pen that’s an
all-in-one device with no OLED display and no removable tank. When I turn on my vape pen, I just want to set it and forget it. I don’t really care to find the perfect wattage level or temperature. I’d rather someone else figure that out for me. In this case, the simpler the design, the better. Of course, that’s not true for everyone, but I think it’s generally true when it comes to vape pens.
Where Do I Find the Best Vape Pen for E-Liquid in the EU?
You can always head down to your local vape shop and see what they have to offer. Today, there are brick-and-mortar specialty shops all over Europe. However, if you’re looking for something more unique, you can feel free to head online. I tend to find that South Beach Smoke generally has a large selection of vape pens, but you might also be interested in VaporFi or MigVapor as well.
How Much Should I Pay for the Best Vape Pen for E-Liquid in the EU?
I wouldn’t pay anything less than $30 for a vape pen, and I probably wouldn’t even go that low. If you’re paying less than $50, the device was probably made in China. I prefer to purchase vape pens made either in Europe or America because at least then I can feel better that the factory complied with industry standards. While there are plenty of wonderful devices coming out of the far east, I like to take every precaution I can.
Usually, I will pay between $50-100 for a good vape pen. Plus, I know that if I put down a bit more money, I’ll probably be able to keep it for a few years. The cheaper vape pens will usually die on you before the end of the year.
